Remembering you!

I tried writing about you,

But it just made me sad.

I wanted to share your story,

But it turned into something bad.

I put my feelings on these pages,

But it was all about me.

I wanted to describe your face,

But it just became agony.

I can't show you to the world,

They only see sorrow in your name.

I showed your picture to someone,

They saw only grief and pain.

I want to tell everyone,

You're more than just a sad tale,

More than tears and sympathy,

You're more than death's veil.

That's how they see you now,

Defined by the loss we've known,

Known by all the words of grief,

Remembered in tears we've sown,

Seen as sadness and sorrow, beyond.
